By allowing participants to interact with others experiencing similar problems or issues, therapeutic groups provide unique growth and educational experiences in a confidential environment. Palmetto Counseling Associates offers several groups to meet various needs:

Men’s Counseling Group

Tuesdays, Noon to 1pm

At Palmetto Counseling Associates

This group is a place where men can come and process various issues in their lives with other men.  Topics might include managing anger, depression or struggles based on family background. 

The group meets weekly and regular attendance is helpful for group cohesiveness.  To join this group, contact the Palmetto Counseling office and set up a brief phone conversation with Dr. Shoultz regarding the “Men’s Counseling Group”.

Co-ed Counseling Group

Wednesdays, 5 to 6pm

Cornerstone Presbyterian Church

This group provides a confidential place for men and women to openly express the struggles they are going through.  Topics might include struggles around anxiety, depression, and relational issues, their role within their family or the desire for personal growth. Whether group participation supplements individual therapy or not, group counseling can provide significant assistance in completing the healing process.
