About Me

Are you looking for someone who will walk alongside you during a difficult or confusing season in life? Sometimes we need more support and help than our friends and acquaintances can offer. I work to create a safe space for you. A safe space where I can help you process painful circumstances, untangle confusing thoughts, comfort distressing feelings, and rebuild fractured relationships.

I want to hear your story. Sometimes our stories can be hard to share, hard to face. I want to help you with this. Then, together, we will look at the thoughts and feelings behind your story. Are they based on truth? Are they helpful? Jesus says in the book of John: "You will know the truth and the truth will set you free." Together, we will dig for the truth and hold thoughts and feelings up to the light of Scripture. Our goal is that you walk joyfully in the freedom that Christ promises.

My husband and I have served in full-time Christian ministry since 2006. We have 5 wonderful kids who I've delighted to homeschool for much of their education. I grew up in Germany, where my parents served in Christian ministry. I then lived in England for a year, before coming to the US to study psychology and counseling.

Our children give my husband and me so much to enjoy and laugh about every day! We love playing board games together as well as getting out into the great outdoors (especially the mountains of North Carolina and Colorado, and the beaches in South Carolina!). Personally, I love few things more than a quiet moment with a hot cup of Assam tea and a good book or Bible study. My personal relationship with Jesus, the study of Scripture, and time in prayer informs and undergirds my understanding and practice of counseling.
