About Me

I believe in holistic health: whole person care that addresses the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and temporal dimensions of individuals and families across the lifespan. Mental and emotional health are often the bedrock foundation of a healthy, fulfilling life. I partner with motivated clients to create their individualized visions of success through psychiatric assessment, coaching, lifestyle modifications (nutrition, exercise, stress reduction) and medication management in a supportive environment.

Thinking of making a change but feeling overwhelmed? Don’t worry, I understand that change can be both necessary and difficult-not to mention scary. I combine a non-judgmental attitude with evidence-based models (transtheoretical model of change and motivational interviewing skills) to help clients overcome natural ambivalence to reach their aspirations-one step at time, encouraged and witnessed in a positive setting.

Don’t have a specific problem? That’s ok too. I collaborate with individuals and couples interested in general personal growth and development-to find purpose, assign meaning and clarify values-to align commitments and prioritize what’s important so that your life is an expression of your deepest held beliefs.

What to Expect? Our initial appointment will be fifty (50) minutes in length, giving us time to get acquainted, assess symptoms, discuss concerns, and explore treatment options.  I equip clients to make informed choices by taking time to educate on potential side effects and anticipated benefits of different medications. I offer 25 minute follow up appointments and 15-minute follow up appointments for the established, refill-only client, depending on your needs.

My background includes 15 years of care as a registered nurse, primarily in mental health: outpatient, inpatient, crisis stabilization, working with veterans, adults, adolescents and military families.  I enjoy travel, nature, the arts, and spending time with loved ones. So far, I’ve visited 12 countries, Ireland is my favorite-Beautiful seas, epic cliffs and warm people.
